North East Scotland Biodiversity Awards 2017

Are Bio Champs imageyou, or do you know a Biodiversity Champion? Are you a school, business, community group, farm or estate that values Nature and has placed it at the heart of what you do (work, education, leisure). Or, are you an individual, or part of a collaborative effort that has made an outstanding contribution to helping protect and enhance the biodiversity of North East Scotland?  If so, we want to hear from you!

The North East Scotland Biodiversity Partnership was one of four pilot Local Biodiversity Action Partnerships (LBAPs) set up 20 years ago to deliver action for Scotland's environment. The success of the Partnership over this period has been down to the united effort of agencies, Non-governmental organisations, Local Authorities, communities, schools, businesses, farmers, estates and individuals working to help protect and enhance the North East's outstanding natural environment.

To celebrate our 20 year anniversary, we are launching our first Biodiversity Awards to highlight those groups and individuals who recognise the value of the natural world and the essential role it plays in the economy, education, health, leisure and wellbeing. The application process is open until 15th March, with winners announced on Friday 31st March at an awards ceremony at The James Hutton Institute. To find out more and download an application form. Good luck!
